JENN ALBERT (APRIL 2025) "Life is Art and you are the Artist” is tattooed on Jenn's arm, and Jenn believes we are creators of our own masterpiece (life). Jenn was born in Denver, Colorado but has always lived a “nomadic” lifestyle. She went to College at The Art Institute of San Diego and Design Institute of Miramar for Interior Design and Architecture. After working briefly at a firm, she later ventured into sales, construction, veterinary care-clinics, shelters, as well as bartending.
She's always been creatively inclined, winning her first art award at 5 years old and has since won others. Jenn often uses canvas, but she also likes to repurpose things such as bottles, pieces of wood, glass, light bulbs, guitars, really anything. She delves into painting, drawing, wood burning, sculpting and enjoys bringing that creativity into her bartending, cooking and baking. Jenn sees beauty in everything and believes everything is capable of being beautiful.
PORSHA BRENDLE TRAIPOOM (MARCH 2025) "I am a local multimedia artist who mostly does oils. My work is inspired by science/physics and nature. After getting severe nerve damage in both of my hands in 2015, I had to teach myself how to paint all over again, which led to a tremendous discovery of who I am as an artist and expanded my abilities and versatility in the art world. I enjoy creating art more than ever before."
KATI LOVETT & RON MORGAN (FEBRUARY 2025) Kati Lovett is a born and raised Cheyenne artist that teaches art at East High School. She primarily works with drawing techniques and materials. The body of work on display at Blue Raven is an array of different techniques and materials, including pastel, printmaking, ink, and painting. The artwork is inspired by nature and the Wyoming way of life.
Ron Morgan is a local art teacher. He was born and raised in Cheyenne. The pieces displayed at Blue Raven are from a body of work in which Ron explored various materials and abstraction. The body of work was a step away from Ron’s typical approach to art making- he gravitates toward ceramics and finds creative comfort in creating 3D artwork. In these pieces, ink, acrylic, crayon, and watercolor were used to create abstract landscapes. The pieces explore themes of day and night, dusk and dawn, and the energy these times of day elicit.
